Questing

Abstract line drawing showing intersecting lines with circle and line endpoints.

Fulfilling the contractual obligation of which a contractor/individual proposes to or requests of the Guild, usually through gross payment, through means of Adventuring "parties" and Adventurers respectively.

Or more commonly known as Questing and Adventuring!

Quests, contracts, jobs, and adventures are the core of the Guild, the most important facet of its existence, and the manner in which players engage with the faction both ICly and OOCly.

Adventurers

"Two sticks and a rock."

A scenic panoramic view of a misty mountain landscape with silhouetted trees and buildings at sunset.

Adventurers make up the bulk of the manpower of the Guild, both in a militaristic sense and as a workforce. They can be employed for combative duties for contractors or for more menial tasks.

Adventurers are organized by a letter-tier system that indicates their standing and merit through accolades earned over their contracting tenure.

ROOKIE

Z: 0 Stars | E: 3 Stars

The fresh faces of the Guild, rookies can be either the greenest of the green or merely individuals who haven't yet obtained a standing within Guild-specific channels. Regardless of either causality, rookies make up the bulk of the menial and simple contracting force that the Guild has to offer, and they are sometimes thrown into the lines of combat should extra manpower be required.

E-Rank adventurers distinguish themselves from Z-Ranks by establishing that they have at least acclimated themselves within the environment of the Guild and attended their first jobs.

D Rank: 12 Stars | C Rank: 24 Stars

These adventurers have showcased their prowess through previous quests, and some have even begun to build reputations for themselves. They are counted upon as hardy and reliable questers who should be willing to take up riskier contracts.

C-Rank adventurers distinguish themselves from their D-Rank compatriots by having climbed the ladder through blood and sweat. They actively partake in high-paying or otherwise risky contracts that their lesser Guild brothers turn down. To the veterans of the guild, many of these rising stars are seen as fierce competition.

GREATER

Able to attend dangerous & LEGENDARY adventures

B: 38 Stars | A: 54 Stars

Just as their name implies, Greater Adventurers have proven themselves to be some of the best the Guild has to offer for contractors and nobles alike. The wheat cut from the chaff and the ingot purified from the ore, these adventurers climbed the latter through blood and sweat, and some with their lives. Greater Adventurers are also known to be standing examples to Rookies and others lower than them, sometimes even mentoring such individuals and becoming leaders of their own parties.

A-Rank adventurers distinguish themselves from the majority of B-Rank adventurers through their proximity and adjacency to Legendary status. Having surpassed the dossier and renown requirements twofold, they are shining examples of the Guild, bar only the most legendary of Adventurers. They typically adopt the same mindset, only being hired for the most lucrative of contracts and being personally selected by nobles and influential Guild Staff. Oftentimes, B-Ranks are even denied the status of A-Rank for not having the minimum required number of Legendary Adventures on their dossier.

Only the best of the best...

Of the best...

Of the best.

G-rank (although technically beneath S in prestige) and S-Rank adventurers have all but attained demigod-like status within the Guild, possessing extreme power and only attending the most extreme contracts handed out by the Guild. Their attendance is often critical and comes at a high price. Legendary figures, such as Golden Fury, have had their names embedded in the halls of Guild history and their weapons raised to the Hall of Iron.

Contracts

catch all - contracts

Contracts are the on-demand method of completing simple tasks that do not necessarily need either a large adventuring team or at least a day of planning. These contracts can usually be taken up by any tier of Adventurer, although questgivers and Guild Staff often have preferences for experience.

They can be categorized similarly to the other levels of adventures, but almost always happen on extremely short notice and are typically first-come, first-served, by means of the contract boards within the Guild Hall.
